The Smile of the Child is participating as a partner in the European project T.E.A.M. – Together Everyone Achieves More

The Smile of the Child is participating as a partner in the European project T.E.A.M. – Together Everyone Achieves More, which is being implemented as part of the Erasmus+ program in the field of sports.

The T.E.A.M. project is coordinated by A.S.D. Cultura e Sport Matera from Italy, with the participation of the Asociatia Scout Society from Romania ,M.M.C Management Center Limited and CSI Center for Social Innovation Ltd from Cyprus and The Smile of the Child from Greece.

The T.E.A.M. project has a duration of 24 months and runs from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2027.

The T.E.A.M. project is an initiative that harnesses the power of sports to enhance the employability and social inclusion of young people. Aimed at young people in Greece, Italy, Romania, and Cyprus—particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds— the T.E.A.M. project bridges the gap between learning through sports and preparing for a professional career.

Through education and skills development, the T.E.A.M. project empowers young people to gain self-confidence, discover career paths, and take advantage of new opportunities, demonstrating that sports are not just for fun, but also for building a successful future

To date, a series of activities have been carried out as part of the implementation of the T.E.A.M. project, as outlined below:

• The project’s kick-off meeting took place in Matera, Italy, on November 13–14, 2025, and the second transnational meeting took place in Tirgu Jiu, Romania, on August 25, 2026, with the participation of representatives from the partner organizations.
• Communication and dissemination activities have already begun in the partner countries.
• The project's website is now live : https://team.projectsgallery.eu/.
• The Training Guidebook based on team Sports (D2.1) was developed by the project partners.

By the end of November 2026, 15 events promoting employability through sports are expected to have been completed in all participating countries, involving at least 300 young people in total. These events will include organized team sports training sessions, skill demonstrations, and guided discussions.
